Loughborough 260 Give away to Sorrel Youth Cafe

A place at last for the young people of Mountsorrel. The new cafe is at the bottom of the Green in the heart of the village, which is a great place for it to be. The cafe is comfortable with access to interesting and helpful activities and is led by a qualified youth worker, supported by volunteers of all ages.

The purpose of the cafe is quite simply, to provide somewhere for the young people of the village to go and relax with their friends outside of school hours. Though it is a cafe, it is a non-profit making venture and is entirely independent. We have already received many generous donations and help from local people, businesses and organisations, charitable trusts and the local authority.

We have two low seating lounge areas with comfy sofas as well as more traditional cafe tables and chairs. Facilities include computers with access to the internet, table football, air hockey, computer games, and TV all provided free of charge for the young people using the cafe.
